Hanging out on a mix of the sand and rocks, they're also good scavengers. However they will outgrow their shell and will need a variety of shape and size shells, otherwise they will kill other crabs and snails for their shells. - [Black Foot Trochus Snail](https://invertedreef.com/index.php/product/black-foot-trochus-snail/): Trochus Snails are well suited for reef aquariums. They are very peaceful and because of its shell shape, it is not easily eaten by crabs. Trochus Snails can right itself when knocked over.    Trochus Snails do best in a well-established aquarium with ample hiding places and room to forage. It naturally feeds on algae, cyanobacteria, and diatoms amongst your live rock, substrate, and aquarium glass. They are also an effective film algae eater. However, they only passively graze on other nuisance algae, such as hair algae.    Reef safe, peaceful, and easy to care for.

This hungry critter glides through your aquarium foraging for food. They are an efficient scavenger and detritus eater and is the perfect member of your reef aquarium cleanup crew. You will be pleased at how quickly a small group will clear detritus, uneaten food, decaying organics, and fish waste. They like to burrow in the sand, usually with its long, tube-like siphon protruding from the substrate. As it searches for food, they help prevent compaction and aerates aquarium substrate. The Nassarius prefers an established aquarium with live rock and a deep sand bed.    Reef safe, peaceful, and easy to care for

- [Turbo Snail](https://invertedreef.com/index.php/product/turbo-snail/): The Turbo Snail quickly eliminates large amounts of nuisance algae. It is particularly fond of hair algae and will consume mass quantities of it and other algae off your live rock and aquarium glass. They should not be kept with aggressive tankmates that can quickly overcome this slow-moving creature. If algae levels are insufficient, supplement the diet with dried seaweed.    Reef safe, peaceful, and easy to care for.
- [Cleaner Shrimp](https://invertedreef.com/index.php/product/cleaner-shrimp/): This active cleaner will set up shop on live rock or coral outcroppings and wait for fish to come and be cleaned of ectoparasites or dead tissue. Many fish value its services so highly that they even allow the Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp to clean inside of their mouths without harming the shrimp. Cleaner Shrimp are often found in groups amongst live rock or coral. In the home aquarium, the Cleaner Shrimp requires a similar habitat and peaceful tankmates. To supplement their diet, feed Cleaner Shrimp freeze dried, frozen, and flake foods.    Reef safe, peaceful, and easy to care for.
- [Fighting Conch](https://invertedreef.com/index.php/product/fighting-conch/): “Fighting” doesn’t refer to its temperament, but rather competitive breeding behavior observed among males who will push rival males away from females. The conchs are not hurt during these matches, it is more like a spirited game of musical chairs.    They reach a size of 4-5 inches long, and 3 inches high and can eat a large amount of algae. Because of their size we do not recommend them unless you have a tank 50 gallons or larger. However, you should know they live entirely in the sand. If your substrate is covered with rock you should consider if the conch will have room to move throughout the tank. They are an excellent cleaner, and substrate stirrer.    Reef safe, peaceful, and easy to care for.

Here, they clean away detritus, including uneaten meaty foods and decomposing organisms. They also burrows into your sand bed, consumes sand-dwelling worms, and helps aerate your substrate. Though peaceful, keep in mind that the Bumble Bee Snail is a carnivore. If there is insufficient food, the Bumble Bee Snail may feed on other snails in your aquarium. If sufficient food sources are unavailable, supplement their diet with offerings of meaty foods, including finely chopped brine or mysis shrimp and frozen meaty foods.         Reef safe, peaceful, and easy to care for.

- [Porcelain Crab](https://invertedreef.com/index.php/product/porcelain-crab/): These crabs have a pair of front arms called maxillipeds, which have ends that are feather-like in appearance. They use these appendages to filter the water for any passing food. Porcelain Crabs live together in pairs typically found within or under rocks in nature. The ideal aquarium will contain plenty of live rock for both hiding and feeding, and will not contain any fish or invertebrates that may bring harm to these peaceful invertebrates. They are reef safe, and will not harm other invertebrates or corals. They constantly filter the water for planktonic food, but will also scavenge for larger meaty portions. Offer the crab small bits of fish, shrimp or meaty food, as well as foods designed for filter feeders.    Reefs safe, peaceful, and easy to care for.
