They eat both tough algae on rockwork and film algae on the glass. They tend to pick up small rocks or sand around the aquarium so make sure your frags are glued down. Mostly hiding during the day, at night they can be seen on rocks and glass.

If lacking algae then you can supplement their diet with dried seaweed sheets.
